How to change water for hamsters

The frequency and methods for changing a hamster's water are as follows:

Water - changing Frequency: A hamster's water should be changed every 1 - 2 days to ensure the water quality is fresh. In summer, it can be changed daily, while in winter, it can be changed every two days.

Use Appropriate Water: Hamsters should drink cooled boiled water, not tap water or mineral water. Tap water may contain chlorine and other impurities, which are harmful to a hamster's health. Mineral water may contain minerals that are not beneficial to hamsters.

Changing Method: Pour the cooled boiled water into the water dispenser and hang it on the cage for the hamster to drink. The water dispenser can prevent the water from being contaminated and keep the water source clean.

Precautions: Avoid using a bowl or other containers for the hamster to drink from, as this can easily get the hamster's face wet and increase the risk of infection. A water dispenser is a better choice as it can reduce contamination and maintain the cleanliness of the water source.
